The federal government is providing almost $600,000 in funding over four
years to support indigenous women living off-reserve in Moose Jaw, Regina and
Prince Albert.
This funding, totaling $598,893, will support women who are survivors of
family violence.”
“As we commemorate the 16 Days of Activism
Against Gender-Based Violence … we are reminded of the devastating impact of
family violence on women and girls,” said Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public
Safety and Emergency Preparedness, who made the announcement on behalf of
Health Minister Jane Philpott.
