Diane Lara has had a bag of red ochre pigment powder from Roussillon, France sitting at home for a number of years.
After leaving her position as a curatorial
assistant the Moose Jaw Museum and Art Gallery, she had more time to
play around
with her art. Then she decided to experiment with the pigment. A
year later, she was finished her exhibit, called Ensō that
is now on display in the Mosaic Gallery at the Moose Jaw Cultural
Centre.
