Moose Jaw Times-Herald: Festival of Words to feature sword-wielding novelist C.C. Humphreys

Actor, novelist and swordplay fight choreographer C.C. Humphreys will be coming to the Saskatchewan Festival of Words in July.

The author of eight historical novels — the Jack Absolute series, The French Executioner series and the young adult triology The Runestone Saga — Humphreys has two new works upcoming in 2014 and 2015, namely Plague and Fire.

Born in Toronto, Humphreys grew up in the United Kingdom. He has acted in many parts of the world, appearing on stages such as London’s West End to Hollywood. He has portrayed characters such as Hamlet, Caleb the Gladiator in the mini-series AD-Anno Domini, Clive Parnell in Coronation Street and Jack Absolute in Sheridan’s The Rivals.
