Despite a new city contract, people can still drop off metal at the landfill or take it to Silver Star Salvage.
“They’re still both operational,” said city engineering technologist Marlin Stusek.
He said the city has a contract with Ontario company, K & K recycling. He said the company picks up metal at the landfill
once a month.
