Taylor Froese was almost three years old when she was diagnosed with leukemia.
“She spent her birthday in the hospital,” said Taylor’s mother Shelley. “At one point we were ready to give up because we
couldn’t see ourselves putting her through anything more.”
After two years of treatment, the cancer went into remission. Now 18-year-old Taylor has been cancer-free for 13 years. She
and her mother participated in the 11th annual Relay for Life that began Friday evening and lasted until Saturday morning.
