In January 2014, Dr.
Mark Lemstra at Alliance Health Medical Clinic in Moose Jaw launched the free
Healthy Weights Initiative (HWI) program to try to combat obesity in the city.
At the time, he
had a goal of seeing 1,000 participants in the area. Now, just over three years
later, the program has reached that goal and the results are encouraging.
