After three years of work from a province-wide team,
Saskatchewan now has a provincial Acute Stroke Pathway map.
“This isn’t a huge change for us. We’ve had a stroke pathway
here in Five Hills since 2006. So we’ve been following a plan very similar to
this for 10 years already. We did a lot of ground breaking work back in 2006.
So now this just brings it wider to the whole province,” said Lisa Parker,
director of emergency ICU medical unit and clinical education at the Dr. F.H.
Wigmore Regional Hospital.
