Saskatchewan mayors discussed the need for a long-term infrastructure plan at the annual caucus.

Mayor Deb Higgins supplied the report of the City Mayor’s Caucus (CMC) to council at Monday’s council meeting. The meeting, held in Regina from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1, also discussed topics such as recycling, housing, regional collaboration, planning and property assessment.

The two days included presentations by Laurent Mougeot, the CEO of the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) and a joint presentation by Irwin Blank, CEO of Saskatchewan Assessment Management Agency (SAMA) and Neil Hardy, chair of SMA.

“This was an interesting presentation because it talked about the role and responsibility of SAMA in providing assessment on property,” said Higgins.
