The Moose Jaw Police Service is looking for a 5.74 per cent budget increase.

As submitted at Monday’s council meeting, the report stated the proposed 2015 operating budget for the service is $9.75 million, an increase of $528,981 over 2014. Excluding embedded revenue, the net operating budget is $9.09 million.

“The only increases to the budget are wages, some retro activity with the completion of the CUPE support workers contract and also the other increases in preparation for police association negotiations,” said Mayor Deb Higgins, who is also the chair of the Moose Jaw Board of Police Commissioners.
