Moose Jaw Times-Herald: Parking meter upgrades more costly in 2013

A total of 596 of the city's 1,029 parking meters need
to be upgraded to high-tech XLE card-style meters.

The city’s 1,029 parking meters are in the process of being upgraded to high-tech XLE card-style meters.

“We have a digital meter now. We have some older ones. The older ones that we’re replacing, the old dial ones that you’d turn, they are more expensive to upgrade because we have to change the whole chassis (frames) on them,” said public works manager Duane Grado.
