Municipal mill rate taxes are going up by 4.59 per cent.

After a lengthy discussion filled with mixed views, the majority of council voted in favour of the amended operating budget during Monday’s regular meeting at city hall. The increased mill rate will generate an additional $918,065 for the city’s operating budget. There is also a 4.82 per cent increase in spending at $1.71 million.
