For Rev. Douglas Hallman of Zion United Church, Christmas has an added meaning after the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Connecticut.

“I think we realize how precious children are and how important they are in our lives,” said Hallman. “When you relate that to Christmas it means that one particular child had a tremendous impact on the world. (He) gave us hope and light and meaning and purpose and direction.
